There are many reasons people stay silent.
Sometimes their silence means that they are tired of fighting with their outer as well as inner self, and now there is nothing left to fight for. Sometimes their silence might mean that they're tired of explaining their feelings to their loved ones, but now they don't have the energy to explain them anymore.
Sometimes they go along the flow and adapt to the changes in their lives and they prefer to be silent and they don't complain because they might be sick of all the petty arguments on everything.
Or maybe, they are on a self-healing process and they are trying to forget every unnecessary expectations they had from someone or someone had from them. Maybe their silence means that they are just trying to figure out facts and calm their souls gracefully with all their dignity.
One of the common things that we often do is that we pretend like we don't care, like nothing can hurt us.
We put up this bug wall of toughness and act like everything's fine, like we don't need anybody's affection; but in reality, we're just scared.
Think of it.
We all are scared, be it for different reasons, different things.
Scared if being not good enough.
Scared of getting hurt.
Scared to let somebody in their already chaotic lives.
Maybe even afraid.
Afraid of the possibility that what if after giving our everything, our heart might break into a million pieces because we loved or trusted people who promised that they'd never hurt us.
But that's the thing. You will never know the outcome unless you take a chance.
Staying silent is the thing of a risk.
It's your choice whether or not you want to talk to someone about your inner feelings. But talking out always helps. Share your hearts out.
Be careful of what you hide, those things that you keep to yourself, they damage you inside. Just as the water reflects the stars and the moon at night, your body reflects the mind and the soul.
Sometimes calmness or tranquility or silence is the best side of the moon, because there are some days you may want to give up.
